At Lumen, children are not grouped by what they cannot yet do, but supported in what they are becoming.
Our environment changes with them. Younger children need grounding and trust. Older children seek connection, ideas, and collaboration. Each space reflects a different way of exploring the world while remaining part of one shared community.
En Lumen, los niños no se agrupan por lo que aún no pueden hacer, sino que se acompañan en lo que están llegando a ser.

The Roots is a space of investigation, expression, and growing independence.
Here, children begin to ask not only what happens, but why it happens. They plan, build, compare, classify, negotiate roles, and return to ideas over many days. Materials become tools for thinking, drawing, constructing, measuring, mapping, storytelling, and representing their theories.
Learning unfolds through collaboration and reflection. Children listen to one another, revise plans, solve conflicts, and take responsibility for their work and community. Projects grow from their questions and connect language, math, art, and nature into one continuous experience.
Rather than providing answers, we support research, offering time, real materials, documentation, and meaningful challenges that help children see themselves as capable thinkers.
Las Raíces es un espacio de investigación, expresión y creciente independencia.
Aquí los niños comienzan a preguntarse no solo qué sucede, sino por qué sucede. Planean, construyen, comparan, clasifican, negocian roles y regresan a sus ideas durante varios días. Los materiales se convierten en herramientas para pensar, dibujar, construir, medir, mapear, narrar y representar sus teorías.

The Grove is a place of ideas.
As children grow, they begin connecting experiences into theories. They negotiate roles in play, ask questions that do not have quick answers, and return to projects over many days. Materials become languages -drawing, building, storytelling, dramatic play, measuring, mapping, and constructing meaning together.
The adult’s role is to listen, document, and offer possibilities that extend thinking rather than replace it.
La Arboleda es un espacio de ideas.
Al crecer, los niños conectan experiencias en teorías. Negocian roles en el juego, hacen preguntas sin respuestas rápidas y regresan a proyectos durante varios días. Los materiales se vuelven lenguajes , dibujo, construcción, narración, juego simbólico, medición y representación del mundo.
El rol del adulto es escuchar, documentar y ofrecer posibilidades que amplían el pensamiento sin sustituirlo.
